An Introduction from the Head of School :  Phil Hayes

There is always a great deal of change taking place in Education and this can be bewildering when  it comes to making the best choice for your child. As a parent, you are entitled to expect for your child a level of education of the highest quality.

North Chadderton has, as its highest priority, the provision of quality education for all its pupils, from 11 through to 18 years of age. In 1990 ,the school was granted permission from the department for Education to keep its 6th Form, on the grounds of  'proven worth', making North Chadderton the only Local Authority school on Oldham to provide continuing education for its pupils from 11-18. This gives us a lot to live up to ! It is , however, our belief that we should be concerned with the all-round achievement of all our young people. This includes the highest expectations of examination successes, artistic and sporting achievements,a sense of moral values, self-respect, self-discipline and social responsibility.

We are equally concerned to provide pupils , once here, with every opportunity to do well. to grow in confidence and to help them to develop those skills and qualities which make them capable and fulfilled adults. More than any thing, we want them to be happy here and want to come to school each day ! Our recent Ofsted Inspection confirms that pupils are happy and feel secure at school, that discipline and behaviour are good and that the school provides a very good quality of education and develops a strong system of values.
